Position Overview

This role is critical in maintaining and supporting network infrastructure for our clients, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco and Fortinet technologies, exceptional troubleshooting skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

Configure, implement, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
Troubleshoot and resolve complex network connectivity and performance issues
Design and implement multi-ISP configurations with automatic failover for enterprise clients
Collaborate with onsite field technicians to diagnose and resolve various network issues
Manage and support Cisco Catalyst switches and Meraki switching infrastructure
Administer and maintain Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls
Utilize FortiManager and Panorama for centralized firewall management
Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot FortiClient and GlobalProtect VPN solutions
Implement and troubleshoot IPSec VPN connections and tunnels
Deploy and support Meraki wireless networks
Monitor network performance and respond to alerts promptly
Communicate daily with clients to provide updates, gather requirements, and resolve issues
Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures
Efficiently manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
Provide remote support and guidance to field technicians during onsite implementations and troubleshooting
Collaborate with team members to support infrastructure projects
Ensure network compliance with security policies and best practices
Provide technical support and escalation for network-related incidents

Required Qualifications

6+ years of hands-on network engineering experience
Strong expertise in Cisco Catalyst and Meraki switching platforms
Proficient experience with Fortigate and Palo Alto firewalls
Working knowledge of FortiManager and Panorama
Experience with FortiClient and GlobalProtect VPN implementation and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with IPSec VPN configuration and troubleshooting
Experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF and EIGRP
Proven experience setting up ISP connections with automatic failover for enterprise clients
Experience with Meraki wireless solutions
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Great analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Proven ability to work efficiently and deliver results under pressure
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for daily client interactions
Ability to effectively collaborate with and guide field technicians remotely
Ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities
Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network security
Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent tasks
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications

MSP (Managed Service Provider) experience
Cisco ASA firewall experience
Microsoft Azure networking experience
CCNA certification
Fortinet NSE (Network Security Expert) certification
ITIL Foundation certification
Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
