Position Overview
This position’s primary responsibility is managing a team of engineers focused on the implementation of Thrive projects and service offerings within the Microsoft 365 platform.
The position will work closely with Thrive’s Project Management Organization (PMO) to serve as an administrative escalation point as well as a task assigner. The ideal candidate needs to possess strong management skills and have experience in managed services and technology solutions. Exceptional communication and organizational skills are necessary to enhance the efficiency and quality in which Microsoft 365 solutions are delivered to Thrive clients.
Responsibilities
Perform weekly 1-on-1 and team meetings with direct reports
Develop processes and procedures to drive team efficiency, client satisfaction and positive end user experience
Identify and sponsor opportunities to create fixed fee service offerings while also refining project scopes attached to existing fixed fee service offerings
Serve as team manager with responsibilities including technical escalation, technical training, time sheet review, PTO/Overtime/Expense review and approval
Assess and assign engineering tasks based on required technical expertise and client needs
Assess and enhance the technical skills of engineers
Effectively communicate with project managers and client technical and non-technical staff to inform on project progress, statuses, requirements, etc.
Monitor and approve engineer time sheets
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degree or equivalent work experience
Experience leading a team of engineers
Experience (4+ years) in the Microsoft M365 platform, specifically:
Exchange Online
Entra ID
Intune
SharePoint
Microsoft Teams
Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with team-first attitude
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience implementing managed services and information technology solutions
Preferred:
Experience using ServiceNow (or other project management software)
Experience in ITIL methodology and change management processes
Willingness to improve team process and contribute to team and company initiatives
